Went down to the Florida Keys for a day trip and of course, the highlight was lunch! The Sunset Grille was one of the restaurants recommended to us when we stopped at the visitor center for a restroom break. Luckily, it was close and we only had to wait around 30 minutes to be seated during the lunch rush. The wait was actually longer by the pool, so we opted to sit “inside” which was still outside.

While waiting to be seated, I had a cold Blue Moon – not a bad way to wait!

For appetizer, we had Conch Fritters and Boom Boom Shrimp. Both were good and hit the spot! I loved the ginger sauce the conch fritters came with, and the shrimp in the Boom Boom Shrimp were bigger than expected.

For lunch, I had the Voodoo Grouper Sandwich. I was excited to eat it, but it did not live up to expectations. The fish was good but the sandwich was missing a lot – the grouper with just a drizzle of some special mango mayo was not enough.

That being said, I was still nice and satisfied after the meal!
