My Dad’s Famous Chocolate Pudding

My Dad has spent years perfecting this recipe and let me just tell you…it does not get any better than this! The Goya Maria Cookies are a great touch. I hope you enjoy this treasured family recipe.

1 large can of evaporated milk

1/2 cup of water

A little less than 1/4th cup of corn starch

1 tablespoon melted butter

1/2 can of condensed milk

Chocolate Syrup (add the amount that you desire)

7 Goya Maria Cookies

  1. Mix evaporated milk and water
  2. Remove 1/2 cup of mix and set aside
  3. Add butter and condensed milk to the original mix and mix well!
  4. Mix corn starch with 1/2 cup of original mixture that you set aside
  5. Add all mixtures together (including desired amount of chocolate syrup) and stir thoroughly until there are no clumps
  6. Pour mixture into a microwave safe bowl and put it in the microwave for 6 minutes
  7. Remove and stir
  8. Quickly place it back in the microwave for another 2 to 3 minutes or until darkened/bubbling over
  9. Remove and stir aggresively
  10. Pour mixture immediately into prepared custard cups (mixture makes 7 cups)

***My Dad always puts a Maria cookie at the bottom of each custard cup
