Cortadito
Cozy Corner is an old-fashioned mom-and-pop diner that serves breakfast favorites and homestyle comfort food. I happened upon it because Crackers Casual Dining had over an hour wait time. For the record, Cozy Corner was by no means empty – we waited about 10 minutes before getting seated. It appears to be a favorite among the locals.
The diner is adorably retro, featuring framed black and white pictures of Miami Springs back in the 30s and antique decor. Along with providing a homey feel, it also has reasonably priced and eye-catching specials (i.e. The Irish Omelette – pictured below).

Irish Omelette is filled with corned beef hash, topped with swiss cheese, and served with potatoes and toast.
I had a Veggie Omelette with potatoes and wheat toast – it sure hit the spot! The portion was huge, so it is safe to say I left satisfied.

Veggie Omelette comes with potatoes or grits and toast
My mom had the Country Girl Special and thoroughly enjoyed it. I thought of having this dish because of the appealing name.

Country Girl Special comes with two eggs, two slices of french toast, two bacon strips and two links.
I enjoyed Cozy Corner and I’m glad I tried it, but I still prefer Crackers Casual Dining – mainly due to all the funky options it has to offer.
If you are looking for more of a classic breakfast diner, then look no further!

Caylin
