Siamo Ristorante & Pizzeria – Italian Mom and Pop in Miami Springs

Siamo Ristorante & Pizzeria was just what I needed after a long week of work. The ambiance was cozy, welcoming, and made me feel like I was no longer in Miami. We sat in the open air and for the length of our dinner I was in an Italian state of mind.

I usually go for wine at Italian restaurants, but I was in the mood to try something new – and by something new, I mean a nice, cold Peroni. I didn’t regret, but next time I wouldn’t mind seeing/tasting the wine they have to offer.

Pizza Classica & Bianca

The pizza was incredible. You can’t come here and not try their pizza. Everything we had was great, but the pizza was still easily the best part. They may look good, but trust me they taste even better!

Pasta

I had the Ravioli di Aragosta – ravioli, pink sauce, AND lobster… I, of course, couldn’t resist ordering it. It was good, but not out of this world. I always feel that in these types of dishes you don’t get much lobster content in it, which is fine because I didn’t get it with the intention of having a large quantity of lobster. In other Italian restaurants, you would probably pay the same amount for four lobster stuffed raviolis. At Siamo, you get more of a bang for your buck.

Dolci

We were given some complimentary homemade gelato (my very amicable uncle is a huge fan of the place and a reoccurring patron) and OH MY GOSH, it was delicious – it was creamy, rich, and tasted like Nutella.

Homemade Gelato

Siamo may not be the most authentic Italian restaurant – I believe the owner is Cuban – but that by no means takes away from the taste and feel of the restaurant. I would definitely come back here and I highly recommend it.

I may not come back for the pasta specifically, but for the pizza I would be back in a heartbeat.
